A non-governmental, non-profit organization called Hamro Prayas ("Our Effort") was founded in 2010 and works with marginalized women, children, and youth in Nepal's Madhesh provincial districts. The organization advocates for the comprehensive development and empowerment of women and girls in particular, and has carried out various campaigns and activities for gender equality, psychosocial counseling, economic empowerment, the campaign against child marriage, sexual and reproductive health and rights, and useful life skills development for a better life. Job Description
This is a core, long-term position at organization that will be based in Bara Secretariat. The chosen applicant will carry out the deliverable in accordance with the organization's four pillars. An organization is looking for a highly passionate, motivated, and collaborative program coordinator to join our team. The program coordinator will oversee the programming intervention that is essential to achieving the organization's high-level change goals.
Responsibilities:
- Discuss and organize the plan and program with the team members.
- Encourage and assist in getting people involved in the main programmatic pillars.
- Create a program, implement it, write a report on it, and submit it on time.
- Organize presentations and agendas for internal and external meetings.
- Assist in writing grant applications.
- Help in curating innovative ideas to empowering and advancing community organizers.
- Support colleagues in documenting and reflecting on learning processes.
- Operations Team Meetings & Gatherings: Assist the operation team with scheduling meetings, logistics, and trainings.
- Produce a monthly newsletter and event reports and distribute them to team members.
- Support the regular upkeep and updating of social media, including updating pertinent articles, stories sections, or content pages as needed.
