Job Description:
The Finance Officer will support KTK-BELT's activities and project portfolio while working under the direction of the Finance Coordinator. In particular, the appointed candidate will:
Responsibilities Related to Accounting:
- Provide KTK-BELT with a long-term accounting system that complies with all local, state, federal, and international legal requirements and is transparent, efficient, easy to use, and valuable for reporting and audits.
- Keep up with daily bookkeeping.
- Make sure that financial records reflect the most recent transactions in QuickBooks, the accounting software.
- Taking Care of Petty Cash Accounting.
- Managing the Inventory of Stationery.
- Make sure that online files are maintained and that both hard copy and electronic versions of the financial reports and paperwork are filled out correctly.
- Oversee project-related banking transactions, such as creating and submitting bank transfer requests, as well as keeping track of transfers.
- depending on the volume of transactions, creating bank reconciliation statements every month or every two months.
- adherence to the Income Tax Act 2058 of the Government of Nepal regarding TDS payment, E-TDS completion, and tax return filing.
- Deposit of KTK Belt's CIT/SSF.
- coordinating with the insurance provider for staff members' accidental and medical insurance.
- As needed, draft the contract and provide the staff/consultant offer letter.
- preparing JDs and ToRs in conjunction with directors and coordinators.

- Assist in obtaining visas for expatriates and international team members.
- Make sure that all aspects of flight travel—including lodging, travel insurance, and visa assistance—go well.
- Travel and flight reservations.
- To assist the quarterly physical verification of all equipment and asset purchases, keep an inventory file.

- A history of planning both internal and external audits.
- It is necessary to have previous experience working in an NGO setting and coordinating accounting and financial management with overseas donors.
- Demonstrated proficiency with accounting, procurement, and computerized financial management.
- Understanding of specific financial and accounting norms and regulations in Nepal and the capacity to effectively advise non-financial staff on these regulations
